Thumbs up World Woods Golf Course = I'm in love!!

I hit the links usually once a week with buddies from work. Here in the Tampa bay area we have a wide selection of courses, so we try to play a different one each week.

As I'm looking through the area on the internet, I spot WORLD WOODS GOLF just north of Tampa. This course, at $120.00 per round, is usually out of my budget. But I found a coupon online for $55.00. Well needless to say we jumped right on it.

We played the Pine Barrons course this past Wednesday. Unbelievable!! It was like playing a course from a Tiger Woods video game. The fairways rolled out like carpets. There were waste/bunker areas that lined many of these fairways all the way down and they were all combed to perfection. The greens were like playing on a pool table. There was a lot to think about on each hole as hazards were everywhere. We played the whites, next time I think we will play further back. i found from the whites I hit driver on almost every hole that was not a par 3. I hit it long (300+) so I was able to fly many of the hazards. This will make it even more challanging.

If you can afford $120 per round, by all means go. It is well worth it. I play on a budget. As soon as another deal comes out for WWG, I'll b there!!

It really is a great course. Not only that it is a great challenge. I'm not sure if you know this but I think in 02 (year?) Shells wonderful world of golf aired that course between Phil Mickelson and David Toms. Phil won with a 69. It is a great course, and I play it as much as I can!

That is a nice course. I play it once in awhile if I feel like a long drive. If you get a chance play Bardmoor. Im curious as to what you think about that.

I have not played Bardmoor yet, but it's high on the list of one I want to play. One of my golfin buddies wants to try Lexington Oaks so I think thats next on the list. Of course thats if the wife allows me to go out in the coming weeks. I got a new baby due on Feb 12, but I'm still hopin to sneak out for 18. We'll see.

I played lexington today. Its in good shape but still doesn't compare to Bardmoor. But then again it was only 35 bucks on lastminute golfer.

Ahhh. last minute golfer. One of the greatest things to ever hit the internet.

I played Fox Hollow a couple weeks ago. That was pretty nice. Greens and fairways were in good shape. It was pretty packed though for a thursday. If you havent been there, give it a shot.
