Well folks, it looks like leaguegolf is truly in a league of his own. This very night he has posted his 4000th post on Golf Rewind. There will be no asterisk or any doubt cast upon this "league-ian" feat, as it was all accomplished within a calendar year. :nodsmiley He can set all four major championship trophies on his mantlepiece, and there's no one else who can do so. So thanks league for everything you've done for the site. You've been a model of consistency, showing up every day, reading every post, and sharing your (often humorous) insights into this great game of ours. I think this accomplishment, although sure to be downplayed by the legend who accomplished it, deserves a standing "o".
Oh, in case some of our newer members hadn't happened upon these gems before, here are two of my absolute favorite posts by our resident Windbag No. 1.....
I demand he be tested for performance enhancing drugs. A normal man would have developed carpal tunnel syndrome from so much typing. I am also pretty sure he has been seen with Barry bonds....
4000 posts and somehow they are all worth reading... that funny league post up there... oh man, that's hilarious!! congrats on the league slam, so what's next? another green jacket or it silly season time? maybe a "5th major" a players championship???
Thanks for all you and your fellow mods do to to make golf rewind what it is... Heres to thousands more
Only real blabber-mouths accomplish this amazing feat.... 36 posts so far today(well in my time anyway) they've all been good though, and some of them kinda make me laugh
Thanks for all the work you put in as a mod and making GR a really great place!
It's been fun reading about your golf stories(Especially the ones about Michelle Wie and lpga members playing in PGA tournaments ) even though you live half way around the world, I know that you're really never farther than a mouse click away.
It's been a great 4000 posts League.....and I look forward to reading the next 4000! You're a good old O.G.
- no I didn't copy those last sentences from another thread.
Congratulation on your 1st 4000, League. I know you say that numbers don't mean anything, but I suspect that this one may hold a special place for you as it harkens back to the time when the dream began as little League watched his boyhood hero, Ty Cobb, get his 4000th hit in person. Looking forward to the next 4000.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure what else to say but,Congratulations! What a great milestone...And it couldn't have happenend to a more "objective," yet usually right fellow...
