July is National Hot Dog Month

July is National Hot Dog Month, and according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, Americans will be consuming the infamous little red tubes of "meat" in record numbers this summer.

I can't wait until July I will eat hot dogs every day.

You know what's in a hot dog? Lips and, well nevermind.

I am a fan of the dog myself, but here in Buffalo we have a local brand called Sahlens, you would never eat another brand after trying these. I am a pickle, mustard man, sometimes Texas sauce.

I've had a New York hot dog and I'm sorry but NY doesn't have the strict meat content laws for hot dogs that Michigan has.

That is what makes them so delicious :nodsmiley . There is a risk factor with every bite. I am gonzo- living life on the edge.

I make my own, there is nothing better when you control the ingredients.

I miss Zweigles brand White Hots (Porkers) which are made in Rochester, NY. Their Red Hots (Texas) are good as well. I can't get these in Atlanta either but there are a couple packages in the freezer. These might not make it until July. Tonight could be hot dog grilling time.

You don't control your ingredients. Local traffic does! Mmmmm...road kill in a weiner skin!
