It seemed for a while that he'd never make it, but with a finishing surge, stagday (Captain stag for the OG'ers) has finally crossed the barrier and gained entry into the Green Jacket club. So welcome to the club stag! The first thing you'll have to do is shine the rest of the club's golf shoes, then maybe vacuum the carpets, wash the dishes from JC's dinner....hmmm...what else is there? Oh yeah, then you get to pick out your own dinner.
BTW, this also means that there is no more room in the clubhouse, so the next member of the club will have to be put up in the little shed we have out behind the clubhouse. Don't worry whomever you are, there are plenty of spiders and probably a few snakes to keep you company.
But anyway, congrats to stagday on the first 1000, and may the next 1000 be as entertaining as the first.
Thanks all. I do appreciate it. And no, I will not be trading JACKETS with GG,lol.
I'm just an old fashioned meat and potatoes man, so no exotic meal here:
1)Start off with any wine of your choice
2)Shrimp cocktail and/ or fresh garden lettuce with your choice of dressing.
3) 16oz T-Bone steaks(from Iowa of course, corn fed)
a) There will be several Weber grills brought in and my caddie has agreed to grill your steak as to your pleasure.
4) Corn on the cob, fresh from the field(might have to come from Texas right now, lol)
5) Hash browns with fresh onions and cheese.
6) Homemade bread, warmed in the oven with fresh butter
7) Homemade ice cream, made with a White Mountain Ice cream maker
along with fresh strawberries and/or raspberries(blue or red).
8) You also may have fresh Pecan Pie with your ice cream, or both if you still have room. lol
after the meal, retire to the outside deck and smoke the cigar of your choice and drink Seattle's best coffee made with pure mountain water from Colorado where we can relax and tell old golfing war stories as we look out over Augusta National with it's storied history and wonder.
I'm in for dinner but I'll pass on the coffee and smoke. While you guys are telling stories.........I'll be creating a few by sneakin' in a few holes on Augusta's famed back nine!
