a fine team you have assembled, C-B-C, but now you have really placed the burden upon them with the " this chameleon won`t eat any more CHEESE until 1st January 2006".

I'm fairly confident I won't have 20yrs, so this is the year. lol

btw, a bit of advice for the USA Team, be wary of a "chameleon" posing as a USA Team member with sabotage in mind.

Hello everyone, this is my first ever post here on this superb looking forum, so forgive me if I`ve placed this introduction in the wrong section.

My name is Brad Jones and I`m 38 years of age, born and raised in the state of Florida....in the good ol` U.S.A . I play off an 11 handicap. My loves are baseball, basketball, bubble-gum and ....er...banjos ....and American cheeses...

I see that you have a competition between `The Rest of the World` and the U.S.A , so if it`s not too late I`d love to join THE U.S.A team...and if it`s okay with you, could the American captain p.m. all the American pairings and in what order they`ll be going out in. If the American captain could do the same for all your singles matches too, that would be very much appreciated . Anyhow, I`m looking forward to kicking some `Rest of World` ***, and.....er .......lock`n`load because I think this competition will be jolly good...(doh )...I mean really cooooooooooooool

Brad Jones

Hello. My name is Tad Jones. I've been visiting GR for a number of weeks now and enjoy the comments made by the members.

The reason for my post is that I've been looking for my long, lost twin brother, Brad Jones, who mysteriously disappeared approximately 3 years ago. We were both born in Berkshire, UK and have lived there all of our lives. We are 38 yrs old and identical twins(although I am the better looking of the two). The last known siting of him was in Florida last December.

Brad is very allusive since he tends to blend in wherever he goes and I now see a new member has joined your ranks, calling himself Brad Jones, who could very well be my brother. My brother would fit this description to a tee, especially his love of baseball, basketball, bubble-gum, banjo's and cheese. Unfortunately, GOLF is not one of his attributes, but he will try to convince anyone that he is a golfer, and a good one at that. Please, do not believe him. He means no harm, he just wants to be a part of your group, but will stop at nothing to become a member.

Brad, it's time to come home now. We all miss you, especially mums. Her eyesight is starting to fail and wishes to see you one last time. Please give up this notion that you can play golf and return to Berkshire where you belong.

Tad

Tad ...Tad ...Tad ....is that really you? ...I`m sorry brother but I had to leave Berkshire. Mum came home from work early one day and found me dressed up in the Minnie Mouse dress... ...I knew she didn`t believe it was for a fancy dress party, and that she`d never understand.
So I had to move to Orlando Florida where I can wear the dress and get paid for doing so. Tell mum if she can forgive me, then I`m coming home so thank mum, thanks Tad and thanks...

P.S. I can get her cheap tickets for Disneyworld if she wants to come over here!

I'll tell mums you're on the way. She will be so excited to know that you are finally coming home. Now if we could only find our sister?

btw, leave the dress and golf clubs in Orlando.

I thought I`d save paper and post my Captain's losing speech here, in the thread that stagday (of all people ) kindly had the forethought to provide ....and given the constant friendly jibes I`ve directed at the Americans (in various threads.. ) they have shown admirable restraint for putting up with me!!!

Firstly to Team Rower, I`m afraid that no matter how much the numbers were juggled, mixed up and then rearranged, the end result was that the USA just pipped us to win this competition!!!...so congratulations to them they are tough cookies to beat. However, when we started up this competition I felt that we`d have trouble just to assemble a team let alone forward one that would go on to give them `a run for their money`. So I`m really proud of the effort all of the Rowers gave, and strongly believe that the next team Rower, will be a very formidable force indeed :nodsmiley Hopefully it`ll be an annual event unlike the Ryder and President's Cup, as there seems enough interest and motivation to sustain this competition. I hope that either Lefty or kiwidave will be keen on captaining the next Rower team in that respect.

So congratulations again to Team USA, and I hope that everyone from team Rower will still be around next year to take this title back. I`m hoping that boomer would be kind enough to drag that rusty juicer out of the garage...and after he`s got it engraved, if he could be kind enough to post a picture of it somewhere on Golfrewind, then we`ll be able to see the magnificent trophy that both sides are hoping to claim. I wouldn`t get too attached to that juicer boomer, because I have a feeling it`ll be travelling to England or New Zealand next year if Lefty or kiwidave have anything to do with it!!!!

Many thanks for everyones efforts and as captain I and not the team must accept responsibilty for this result, so as the losing teams captain I will officially make....

stagday
..responsible for the defeat of Team Rower...as that works for me..!!!

Former & Losing Captain ( which means I now have something in common with stagday... ).... C-B-C

One word for that concession speech: Gracious

It's hard to believe that you can give up cheese until the end of the year.
Can I offer a substitute? How about spam?
