Online gambling/poker

Just a question. I used to play online poker when I decided it just wasn't worth it anymore. It was time consuming with little reward. Also, it was frustrating playing against people who quite frankly stunk and then would talk smack like a good 'ol internet tough guy when they got lucky.

Anyways, question is, has the bill that has been passed recently affected online gambling yet and how so? Are there ways around it? I am definitely not looking to do it again, just seeing if it is having an impact yet. My guess is that it hasn't taken affect yet so no one may know.

The house has passed it to ban gambling but the senate must now act and it is not a high priority item.May not get to it this year.Even if it passes the president has right of veto and if it gets by him it will still be quite a while till it is enforced.
I play everyday and enjoy it a lot.I do not bet over my head.As for trash talk you can turn the chat off.I am playing now.
Of course I am against banning it or anything else on the internet.Freedom of speech, etc. They are going to leave access to porn but not gambling?
It has to be because they cannot make any money off it and the brick and mortar casinos don't want it around.I don't mind them fighting it but wish they wouldn't chalk it up to morals, religion or principles. They should be honest about it.

Thanks, sometimes I forget about the other "steps" in the process.

Just a question about this, I am an online player, but how do they plan on regulating the sites from outside the US. I know there are a lot of sites based on foreign ground.

They don't regulate them.Oh,there are associations that monitor them but for the most part I don't think they are rigged.
Party poker for instance is owned by an indian tribe and its servers are in montreal.Last time I played they had 75,000 players on line. They are making so much money they don't have to cheat.
