Just read the first 78 pages

Where did jackamo go?
And are Leaguegolf and jackamo borthers or friends or enemies with that same avatar?

That was confusing?!

So far this is one of the funniest threads I ever read.

But after reading that I feel just a little woozy

jackamo is a name that will be heard in tales of lore throughout the world of internet discussion forums.
jackamo was a guy who asked a number of broad and very general questions here, like "what driver is in your bag?; what fairway woods do you play?; etc."

For some reason, one or two of the admins disliked him VERY much. And he said he will never come back.
I personally found them useful as a reference, all in one thread, as to the equipment preferences of the membership in general -- apparently many others felt the same, as the "jackamo threads", as they are now known, are ranked very highly in both number of responses and number of views.

Now it is noted that number of responses/views is not the important thing here...

But old jackamo makes comebacks every now and then.

Jackmo complained that Golf Rewind didn't have enough traffic and that only a few members were making all the posts. We know that jackamo visits GR frequently and I think his latest, and funny, avatar is testament to the fact he misses us. No administrator or moderator has it in for jackamo and he's welcome to return on a regular basis anytime he chooses. He made the decision that GR wasn't busy enough and that "one or two of the admins disliked him VERY much." He was mistaken on both counts.

That's another side of the story.

As one of the mods who I believe is being referred to here, I can assure everyone that I don't dislike Jackamo and wish he'd come back and participate instead of just lurking.

I did disagree with some of his opinions, but differences of opinion are one of the things that make discussion boards interesting, IMO anyway.
