"A fly came and sat on my nose!" This was the excuse (albeit true) that my dad used today for a rotten tee-shot, and of course I nearly killed myself laughing.
What other weird & wonderful excuses have fellow golfers not come up with for - let's just say - 'not-too-good' play?
The sun was in my eyes
The slow play has ruined my rythym
You should have seen me at the range
I didn't get enough sleep
I'm still stiff from my cardio
I've been working on a few things
I never do that...just having an off day
The ground is too wet
That's because I skipped the range before playing
These clubs are still new
The architect was an idiot
The grass in the fairway is too high/low
I don't feel like concentrating
