Look ma - no skin on my hand!
Being a natural pessimist I raised a brow when I heard this story (kinda reminded me of the engineers' story... they sent an ultra-thin wire to their 'opponents', who obligingly returned it with a hole drilled down the centre):
Apparently someone once caught a ball which had been whacked in his direction by someone else using a wedge and, apparently, it spun all the skin of his hand.
Do you think this is possible?
I have read that golf balls can spin up to 6'000+ rpm so, jaaaa... maybe, but gb's are not exactly course, and dimples aren't exactly raspers. Then again, strange things can happen at high rpm - believe me, I know.
