No news is good news
This must've been the dumbest radio news bulletin segment I've ever heard: "A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train when he crossed a railroad crossing this morning. None of the passengers on board the train sustained any injuries"

The engineer probably hit emergency stop which could have thrown passengers about in the train. But, I agree with you, being hit by a train and bumping your head in the bar is far apart.

i remember when i was in my early 20's, (leave the old guy jokes alone),
I was stationed in Montgomery , Al and i heard on the news, " There was a wreck on I-65 this morning involving 5 cars due to early mornig fog. 5 were killed, 2 seriously!" of course he corrected himself later that there were 2 seriously injured..............the other morning anchor was ribbing him as to how 3 were minorly killed
