At home, Forged and I drink CDM - a coffee and chicory blend that you can buy in the grocery stores around here. There's almost always a pot on and we go through a couple pounds a week. I love my coffee! I don't go out much for coffee, but I do like the cafe au lait from the Morning Call in Metairie. I prefer it to the cafe au lait served at Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter.

Just about anything except that 'orrible stuff Koffiehuis they used to 'force down our throats' in the SA Defence Force.

As far as instant coffee goes, Woolworths here by us has a 'freeze-processed' brand called Café Gold. Man, it's better than filter!

Anyone like Espresso? (and I mean real Espresso!)

We grind our own from a Starbucks brand of beans we get at Costco. My wife's a coffee snob of sorts. We use many different types of Hawaiian beans sold at our local fruit market, also. As long as it's strong, I'm not that particular.

For day to day drinking, I'll buy Folger's French Roast or Colombian. Sometimes I'll switch things up and buy a different brand, and like the New Orleans style with chicory from Community coffee. Can't always get it here, though. Recently had some Seattle's Best that came as a sample bag in some cereal. Really good flavor.

Mom always made Maxwell House, and growing up it was just about all we drank. Once I got out on my own I found out how good coffee can be, as Maxwell House is just too mild for me.

Yeah, Espresso is good stuff. Funny thing is, real espresso actually has less caffeine per serving than brewed coffee!

You guys are on the mark on the Cafe Du Monde! Dangit, I can't get it here. I use Folgers Dark Roast, made strong, and usually take a partial cup before 3-4 cups have dripped.

My daughter gave me a bag of Starbucks Komodo Dragon, and it was pretty awesome.

I was buying CDM at Albertson's just two years ago, while on a project in the Houston area.

CDM coffee is like Elly May Clampett coffee from the TV show the Beverly hillbillies.

Coffee's no good if you can't float a horseshoe in it, or make the spoon stand straight up!

I like just about any dark roast, pure Columbian. The Kona coffees from Hawaii are some of the best also. I used to drink my coffee very strong and black, and said if it would not disolve a stainless steel spoon, it was too weak. But I've mellowed a bit.
