I played roller hockey for several years. Couldn't afford ice. I enjoyed it a lot. I got pretty darn good too.

I played soccer at a recreation level for 6 years, and at state for 2. I then coached co-ed recreational soccer for 5 years.

Anyone else play soccer?

My cousin is a hardcore soccer fan, personally though i hate the sport, pro soccer players dive more often than a swim team and when they get touched they act like they just got shot.

I'm a big soccer fan, and I play it too, but its usually just for recreation, nothing serious.

But I'm a big fan of the sport. And yes, Junior I agree with your comments about the diving, some European teams are awful for it, they're on the ground more often than the ball itself

Its true. I'm not a very big fan of pro soccer, but I do enjoy watching it every once in a while. I always come away impressed.

Anyone watching the Hawaii-Fresno St. game on ESPN right now? Poor Hawaii, first they get embarrassed by Boise St. something like 69-3 a few weeks ago, now they are down to Fresno St. 49-0 at the half. I think college football needs a mercy rule...

I don't mind playing the sport, not to bad at all, but watching pro's isn't that fun for me, low scoring, diving or else they aren't very good on their feet and fall over anyways. Even when there is contact that looks like it would hurt they stay down for ever and it just doesn't appeal to me. Like for the love of god suck it up and get up and run to your darn bench.

Nice to see that you're back home Halk, I hope the surgery went well and everything works out so that you can be back out on the links on December 3rd.

Thanks stlcard_25 the surgery went quite well I am allready getting some of the feeling back in the right hand. Before the surgery I had lost all feeling in the ring finger and pinky finger of the right hand and a lot of strength because of several bone chips against the nerves, the Doctors did not give me a lot of hope before the surgery that I would regain the feeling but they also are encourage that after 3 days the feeling is starting to come back. Again thanks for the thoughts.

That's good, hopefully you get all the feeling back in your fingers Halk.

Boy has it been dead in here tonight. But I notice that the number of "members visiting in the last 24 hours" thing displays about the same number it always does on the weekends. Usually between 65-75. During the week it's usually 100-115. Must be a lot of our members post at work?

yeah, I'm thinking more people come here when they are at work than when they are at home on their down time. I know I'm on here every day, but that's because I'm addicted to the internet.

I'm here for a similar reason, but I have nothing else to do really, so I come to talk about what I love to talk about most: golf.

Great game by Auburn today, they showed what they are made of. They have a good shot at making it to the title game IMO.

Agree now if they just do not get cocking with Alabama and who ever they play in the South Eastern Conference Game. Just maybe they will get a shot at No.1 IMO the should.
