ForgedRBest Green Jacket Ceremony
Well, it appears as though we have another member who has earned his green jacket.
ForgedRBest is the latest to join the pantheon of Golf Rewind green jacket holders. Congrats Forged on a job well done!
PS. Leave the "retro" clothes and cracks about our lousy weather at home when it comes time for the "champion's dinner."

Oh no, the Fuzzy jokes break out... congrats. And my vote is filet mignon with a big chocolate cake for dessert.

I vote greens, with the little potatoes and some pickle meat. Chocolate cake for dessert works as well, I like the double death by chocolate.

Could you kindly clue me in as to what "pickle meat" is? BTW, your vote is the one that counts...you are after all the most recent "champion."

It is highly salted pork, pickled. We use it in red beans, greens etc. Adds alot of flavor.

Oh, OK. I figured maybe we'd be eating alligator meat and watching a "Benefits of Southern Livin'" video during the dinner...

Wait a minute card. Alligator meat is a special treat. If you are ever lucky enough to try some you will understand. The meat is very light and flaky, like fish but with a hint of chicken. I like it best fried.

I've heard it's not bad. But of course you'd like it fried...do they make it any other way in the south? You'd fry your water if it was possible..

In a gumbo it is excellent, or a cubion (sp), try to find that word in the spellchecker. Baked works as well. Like fish or chicken it cooks well anyway you want. Fried water? Well if you know how to make a roux, then I guess you can say we kinda fry the water.

I've never heard of a roux, but I'll take your word that it's like frying water.
