I wonder what that does to the world ranking points...can Tiger still get #1 with a 4th place finish? Does Goosen still count in the field, and if so soes he have to count this tourney in his divisor? For a guy that was just on the golf channel saying he wants to make a run at #1, he sure got off to a bad start
I would guess that it doesn't count towards World Rankings. They probably treat it as someone who is entered but then decides to drop out before the start. This is purely speculation on my part.
Even if there is a rain delay, you have to have your line up set the night before. If it is like it has been in the past, even though the second round wasn't completed until Sunday, on Sunday you needed to have had you 4th round line up set by then. It can kind of be a pain, but I imagine they have their software set up to a certain time each night.
"Adam Scott defeated Chad Campbell in a sudden-death playoff at the Nissan Open, which was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather."
A 36-hole tournament? None of my guys from the 3rd and 4th rounds even got to play! I'm sure that we're all lamenting that our line-up revisions never had a chance to help our performance this week.
All the big boys will be out at La Costa this week so we get our choice out of 25 players that are entered out in Tucson...
Yeah All the guys I have startung this week I have never played before. Which is kinda nice to give Phil Mickelson a break from slowly burning out his 10 tournaments.
I think i was online making my selections while Reteif was busy getting Polluted. Just lucky that I had Howell III starting. Ended up moving up the ranks a bit, but after looking at the Tucson entries, it's going to be a guess festival this week.
I don't see much movement in the standings this coming week. After all, there isn't that much to choose from, so many of our line-ups will be very similar, I'm betting.
The winner in Tucson this week could be an ex-Nationwider that isn't even on our list. Not a prediction, really, just an observation. Here's to a good week for Sean O'Hair.
This week has been a drag. First 3 of the #1 seeds for each bracket at the WGC Match play event are gone, and the Tuscon tourny being pretty boring. Guess that is what happens when a WGC event sucks up all the talent (not saying there are not any talented players in Tuscon this week, just not much flash going on). Best of luck to everyone . . . two more days. :)
A few people had some monstrous weeks...I counted 8 in the league netting 200+ points for the week, and another 5 between 180-190. Great picking guys and gals!
Actually, those standings are not correct. I dont know if I am the only one or not, but for some reason I did not earn the 20 bonus points (which shortgrass01 did get, as I checked his scores. . . ). Who do I need to contact to get this fixed, for myself, and for anyone else falling under this unfortunate discredit.
