So far I have had a box of Hostess Chocolate frosted donuts, and a 1 liter of Dr. Pepper, just a small after school snack (for me anyway). Now I'm waiting for supper.

New York strip for me, marinated in Coke, garlic, and Jack Daniel's. Chicken for the wife (she doesn't eat red meat), marinated in Coke and soy sauce, both grilled. Rice pilaf, and fresh steamed green beans with garlic salt, pepper, and butter. Quite good, though the steak didn't pick up as much flavor as I had hoped even though I marinated it all night.

On a side note, chicken marinated in Coke (or any cola) and soy sauce and then grilled, makes the greatest chicken teriyaki to be served with sticky rice. It's tender and juicy, and picks up just enough of the carmel Coke flavor to give it a little extra something that you don't normally get.

I'm going to have a small salad. Probably with a tomato and a little cheese sprinkled on top, and some O'Charley's Ranch salad dressing.
