How to organize a company golf tournament

I started to work at this company of 200 people and want to start a golf tournament. Do you have experience starting one?
The format I want is two-men best ball (which I have never seen before), since we have probably about 20 golfers.
thanks,

You will need at least one other person to help you. How many of the 200 golf? I have helped organize our firefighter tourny the last 2 years.

Need a rough idea of how many will play, where to play, booking the date, prizes, scoring format, food, refreshments to start. It is quite a bit of work but very rewarding and fun.

We have about 20 golfers in the company and I think they should be able to bring their friends from outside.

The hardest part is getting the commitments from the 4somes. Most places need a deposit as well as an idea of how long to close the tees for your group. We do a shotgun start, 36 4somes so the course is closed for about 6 hours.

We had our first company tournament last year and will be having another one this year. It doesn't hurt to have a club member pull some strings at his home golf course. Basically you need to give the golf course notice and they will book off enough time for the groups. Then a deposit from each player is needed to ensure they will show up.

Its also nice when the GM of the company pulls strings to so that the fees per member is less and that there are enough prizes for everyone.
