home golf nets, expensive but is it worth it?

is it worth it or is it better to just go to the range to practice?

would appreciate any advise or experiences you could impart...

you can find some pretty cheap nets. a net will by no means do as good for you as much as a range will as to how you cannot see the ball flight however, it is more fun to hit into a net instead of just swinging. i was more considering getting http://www.golfsmith.com/products/10...3&fcst=GSI_WEB that over a net since it is supposed to show your ball path and you dont have to set up a new ball every time. its also on 30 bucks

I have a net, and while it can be fun, it is a pain to store. In theory it is suppose to fold down very nicely. In reality, trying to fold it down is like trying to give a cat a bath.

i got one of those thinking i could work on my swing at home, well after only 15 swings or so with my 5 iron, the wood stand where the arm bolts onto broke. i wasnt even hitting it very hard. so i would just take that $30 and goto the range or maybe even get a net if you want to hit at home.

too bad, that looked like a good product... anyone else have any better results? I saw something like that recently that you hooked up to the computer and could play TW '05, and other golf games with it, sounded good also...
