i know there is already a big break III thread but i need to vent (lol):
both ladies had an opportunity last night to be positve role models for young women golfers everywhere.2 talented women fighting it out on the golf course to reach the summit of the sport.
they failed.
instead they acted like little girls and it was embarassing to watch. am i the only one who got sick of all ****that was being said and implememnted between the two?
both players hsould be ashamed at how they acted on national TV.
i mean, not conceeding 1 foot putts?
and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.......that blond headed bimbo talks so much about herself and her game its sickening.
"im so good at blah blah blah"
"my strength is blah blah blah"
i hope young kids out there were not watching this because the way i saw it was the complete opposite of the way the game should be played from a etiquette POV.

The only gamesmanship I saw came from Pam. As far as Danielle's attitude, I found her annoying for most of the series like everyone else, but her drive and confidence grew on me the last couple of shows and I found myself rooting for her last night. As to her comments during the interview clips, remember they have 100s of hours of that stuff and edit it to suit their purposes. Maybe she is the world's biggest -princess, but i took everything I heard in those interviews with a large grain of salt.

It's "reality TV." Who would watch if the women kept quiet (now that would make national news! ) or if TGC didn't spice it up? I only saw a few bits and pieces but without the banter it would've been like watching the women's league that follows my league every week.
As I've stated many times before, Danielle is/was/will most likely always be caddy...She had some pretty "unprofessional" comments last night such as the 'Jussssst a bit outside...' I think she could have definitely represented herself better. I also wasn't very excited about the way Pam was acting either. I think some of it could've been due to her not having much competition experience. What pains me the most is that I agree with waz, I found myself actually rooting for Danielle. I think it was the fact that she came out of the gate slowly, but never gave up. I also think that at this particular time, she has a better chance of making it than Pam. Give Pam some time to work and better understand her game and it's no contest...
I agree with what has been said. I think they both were out of line last night. How many LPGA/PGA players would have acted that way in match play? Probably none. And I got so tire of hearing Danielle. How may times did she say "You've got to be kidding me?" She still could not accept that Pam was actually a good golfer and that she thought she should have easily won 9-8. I think she will get schooled at Kingsmill in a few weeks. If you have not done anything impressive on the Futures tour, I doubt she will do anything on the LPGA with the pressure and realization she is there.

I'll honestly be surprised if she makes the cut...
On hole #16 when Pam bent down and distracted Danny, did she do that on purpose? It almost looked set up because of the camera angle they used. I dont know of any self respecting camera man who would let Pam get in the camera shot like that. I think the golf channel may have told them to use all the "gamemanship" they could.
Yep...At first while watching the series I thought Danni was just that much of a ***** ...but looking back, the whole thing seems wayyyy to convenient the way thing's worked out.
I only watched bits of the previous shows, but did watch most of the final last night.
I've got to preface my comments with the fact that I dislike gamesmanship on the golf course.
Both women acted terrible. One thing has always remained constant in golf, and that has been the concept of good sportsmanship. Making each other putt the one-footers, having Danielle re-mark the ball she putted out of turn, and then telling her "its good," etc... At one point it showed Pam telling her caddy that she was going to concede Danielle's putt, but only after Danielle stood over it for a few seconds. Whats with that?
Good reality TV, lousy for golf image. Neither one has a chance to make a dent on tour, but Pam's got the better tools at this point in her career. For having only played for 3 years, she's pretty impressive.
I have to agree with everyone else who said that both acted terrible. In the earlier shows, Danielle was made out to be the bad one but I think Pam's true colors showed in the final duel. It sure made for some good tv, though. The guys who edited the show must have had a ball.
I think everything said here made sense regarding the two finalist. They are a role model to some and how they acted could be more professional. At the end when Danny made the putt for birdie to win the match, I don't remember Pam congradulating Danny. No huges, no kisses. A bit of a sore loser, don't you think?
It's a reality TV show! If they didn't act that way no one would watch.
I didn't watch it but it's not an accident that everyone here is talking about the behavior and not the quality of golf.
Sheep.......the lot of ya!
I don't think their (Golf Channel) intent of this show was to make people believe that the whole show was a set up. This isn't a typical "reality show"....the winner does not get 1 million dollars, they get an opportunity.
Big Break one and two were nothing like Big Break three....even though Don D from Big Break two was very obnoxious in the end he congratulated Kip and wished him the best of luck, in fact they remain friends since the show.
My theory is, is they were worried about the ratings so they asked the girls to make it worth watching by causing conflict and their goal was to have a villain in Dani.
Sorry but I disagree. I hear the stories from my wife and her mom who are both in retail about how the women act toward each other and I hate to say it but I think if you put a bunch of competitive women together, they will act just as they did on BBIII...in the end they will be at each others throats.
They had to have gamesmanship because none of them had GAME...lol.
