what if their were no limits?

i was on the course today and just thought about where the pros might be, or the average golfer for that matter, would be if their werent equipment limits by the USGA. how far do you think the balls would go? or how much spin they would have? or even for shoes, what if their was no limit on how long the spikes could be? im interested to hear how much difference their would be on all kinds of equipment.
