Golf Etc. Store

Has anyone shopped at a Golf Etc. store? If so, what did you think of it compared to Pro Golf or other major golf stores?

The one in Mpls. is very good at club repairing. I have had several clubs reshafted there and they always do a good job. They also sell component parts in addition to name brands clubs. Prices for balls ect. are about the same as the rest of the stores in town. It is smaller than the other shops in town which limits selection. If the store wasn't a 45 min. drive from my home I would shop there more, but there is a Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith, and Nevada Bobs much closer.

Thanks for the info. Do they carry most of the name brands in clubs (ie. TM, Titleist, Calloway, Cleveland, Topflight, etc.)?

I know the one in Mpls. stocks the major brands, but since it's a franchise each store may be different. Stop in or give them a call.

I can Heartily recommend European Golf in Derby, they have some great deals, not to mention, will take the time to help you choose something & even fit you for a set of clubs, I recently went in there & got a set of irons well below rrp, not to mention less than they had them for display for. Best of all I didn't even need to ask for that deal, they have since had my custom several times for various bits.

My experience of Pro shops is that they can be quite expensive, but every now & again there can be a deal to be had, when you compare with other specialist golf shops or the likes of even JJB sports, which happen to carry some equipment.

Infact one of my best buys to date was a misushiba chipper from JJB sports for £14-99, what a bargain. That club has saved me no end of strokes, have even holed out on a number of occasions from outside the green in semi rough lays.

Clothing on the other hand, tends to be very expensive in any specialist shops, needs great care.

one tip for those in the UK, check out the sports & golf clothing section in TK Maxx, especially in the bargain rails, got some great tops for £5-00 & £11-00 for items that I've seen elsewhere for , £30 +
