2006 Masters Practice Round Tickets

Here is the address to get into the lottery for the 2006 Masters practice rounds. You must have your application sent by 15 July 2005. Good luck.

From www.masters.org

Practice Rounds tickets are limited and sold in advance by application only. Applicants are allocated tickets on a random selection basis. 2006 Practice Rounds applications will be mailed in June to those people who applied in 2004 and/or 2005 or who have subsequently requested Practice Rounds information. Successful applicants will be notified in September. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified. The deadline for 2006 applicants is July 15, 2005. If you are not on the Practice Rounds mailing list, and would like to be added for 2006, please send your name, address, daytime telephone number and Social Security Number to:

Why would they need your Social Security number?

I've been on the list for years. They are on the up and up and link the SS# to the ticket numbers so if they are found to be scalped or sold on EBAY, they will remove you from the list...makes you wonder how much they actually do that since there are so many that scalp them.

I got on the list four years ago. I got tickets in 2003 and this year. Both times they were for 4 tickets for Wednesday. It cost me $144.

Every year around the end of June you get another form letter asking times and dates you prefer.

I live near Augusta and play golf with Pistol . If you don't get selected , you don't hear anything . As far as practice rounds go , any day is great if you get it but Tuesday is the best . Mondays many pros aren't there or playing yet , and Wednesdays they must leave the big course by 1:00 for the par 3 tourney at 2:00 . Tuesdays they are all there and all playing . Go to # 16 for sure - most groups will go to the front of the tee box after they hit and try skipping shots across the pond . Great fun to watch .
