That's just golf. That kind of thing usually happens to me in the middle of a round. I'm playing well, and all of a sudden I have a hole where everything goes wrong--and I mean everything! It's almost supernatural how I suddenly lose my swing, my touch, my mind! When this happens, I focus only on making relaxed swings, and I can usually recover. I can't explain why these lapses occur, but they are almost inevitable, and excruciatingly frustrating!

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I went out in 41. I was hitting it great then hit my drive wide right on 10 and totally fell apart for 6 holes. I got it back together a bit the last couple, but it happens. There's no rhyme or reason for it. You just have to get back on the horse.

I think this happens to everyone. Just look at Tigers play this past year. One day he can't miss the next he is all over the course.
The golf swing can be a very fickle thing. It seems like all it takes is for one thing to be a little off and it becomes impossible to hit any thing solid. For me 9 out of 10 times it's something in my set up, grip, stance etc.

I know it happens to me. One day I went out, played nine holes, and shot six over. Not a good score for me. And then, a few days later, I finished my work at the course, but there was still a little daylight left. So I went out and played five holes until it was so dark I could barely see the ball on the ground, let alone in the air. And yet, I shot 2 under! Explain THAT sudden change!

When you start to run all these things through your mind, it will usually mess you up.
