I put the golf clubs away for a couple of months and got back on the course for the first time since this past weekend.
I thought I was getting frustrated with my lack of improvement but something I discovered this weekend was that my real frustration was coming from the fact that I was having to wait 10 minutes on every tee box during the season.
Well the season is pretty much come to an end here in Florida and we had the course basically to ourselves on Sunday. I managed to hit in the mid 90s which is a good game for me especially after not touching a club for two months. Of course the best part was not feeling like I was packed into the course like a sardine.
I guess the moral of the story is to take my winters off and fish. I really feel for you guys up north. I cant imagine everyone trying to cram all there golf into 4 month period. Hopefully better course management up north alleviates this problem up there.
I realize the course owners have to make there money when they can but I bet many people have given up on the game for the same reasons I had not touched a club in these past two months.
At any rate I am looking forward to golf this summer. I don't mind the heat, the rates are down and the courses are empty. Yeehaw
