OG vs YG Scores

There's only a couple of days left and most of us have submitted our match scores. The Captains are the only ones that know the current status of the match but we all know how we "contributed" to the team personally. There's been months of trash talkin' but I don't see any comments on how anyone played. So did you help, hurt, or kill your team?

I didn't shoot under par or anything but I believe my score "helped" my team. My round was a real grind on a very tough course but I was pleased with the results. That and the fact that I won a few bucks from my playing partners! What's your story?

I think I might've hurt them... not killed them though .
I wish I could take that round back and play it again today
Oh well, ... at least the shortgame wasn't like what it's normally like... otherwise I would've killed my team.

I don't think I can say I helped the team, but I don't think I crippled us either. I played a decent round and didn't explode so I was happy with it. But if it turns out that what I shot was something that hurt the team's total score badly, I think we'd be in pretty good shape then. Likewise, if my score was helping our average, we'd be in some deep trouble.

Gee Bama....didn't you read the thread title? I can't tell if you've posted a score from reading your post. We all thought our scores would help our team....before we played!

I just got home from my round, I started at 2:30 like always, but we finished in the dark at 7:20. It was a long day, so crowded out there today. I don't think I hurt my team, but it wasn't my best round this week.

sorry to say, I do not believe the captain helped the team. the day was miserable(no excuse though) and time was getting short, so had to get the round in. my apologies to the team.

there are several scores yet to be posted and I'm optimistic. go og'rs and don't run out of gas with 3 to go,lol.

I think I helped, I will say that the round I played for the OG's was a middle of the road round so far this year. If I had held off until the course was in better shape I might have been more helpful. I have been scoring pretty well the last few rounds.

Well as far as helping my team ... that's doubtful. But as a 16 handicap going in I wasn't likely to help much anyway. I was close to my cap. I think I out-smarted myself by trying to play a course with a low rating that I usually score well on. I didn't take advantage of the scoring opportunities that day, putted rather poorly(a recently developing pattern) and wound up posting a score that I probably could've shot at one of my regular layouts with a much higher rating. Playing alone I found myself really pressing, even more than I do in other competitive matches, which I didn't expect. We'll see in a couple of days. It's been fun.. the whole lead-up & trash-posting through the round itself. We should come up with another format and do it again soon.

If no one else is going to say it, I will. My 92 on a 65.4 rated course probably killed my team. Like stagday, I was running out of time and ended up playing a course that I don't like a whole lot, but my off-line shots killed me because several of them ended up in the worst possible positions and lies that didn't allow a recovery shot.

I'm also sure that this course's consistent OB on the left eventually got into my head because my dependable draw and occasional hook started to go straight and even wildly right on a couple of drives. I did discover, however, that being a fairway over, far from the tree-line on the right of my own fairway, wasn't such a bad place to be--as long as I was able to hit a high 7 wood to the green!

I am pretty sure my score helped the team since our rating is higher than average.
