The OG/YG is winding down and we should know who the victors are by this time tomorrow (go YGs!! ), so it's time to lay the framework for our second competition. There's been a lot of talk about the US' failure in team competitions lately, and here's another chance for the internationals to take down the bully US. This competition will feature GR members hailing from the United States versus those hailing from other countries. Anyone is welcome to join, and the more the merrier.
For this one, we'll need even teams, as the plan (no details finalized yet) is to have a matchplay-style competition, with two rounds that will need to be played sometime during the month of July. So (and this is not set in stone), we'll just take the first however many players that signed up from the team with more and lop the rest off. Of course, as with the Og/Yg, the rest of the details and any changes will be made through suggestions as the time for the event nears.
The first order, once you sign up, is to vote for the captain you'd like to see run your respective team. Since the member whose idea this originally was (C-B-C) has a limited PM inbox, I can take the votes for each team and to be sure of no foul play, will forward the replies all in one PM as quotes once the voting has been finalized. Choose your top two choices for captain of each team and the member with the most points (two points per #1 vote, 1 per #2 vote) will be named the captain of that team. Hopefully we can have a good turnout for what I believe will be a fun competition.
Let the games begin!!

Of course they can....unless they feel they'd totally drag the team down. You vote only for your own team's captain. I know I started this a little late for the Euros to be posting, but hopefully they'll pick up a few. Ideally we'd like at least 12 on each team and a fair balance. Canadians, Mexicans, New Zealanders, Aussies....whomever can be on the ROW team btw, it's not just the UK or Europe versus the US.

You're not dealing with the Ryder Cup team here buddy! We've got teammates that will do what it takes to perform well as a team and bring a sense of camaraderie to the US team!
Don't under estimate those of us ticked off about the lack of dedication and cavalier attitude of our recent Ryder Cup members. I said "members" because you're right to laugh at them calling themselves a team. We won't make the same mistake!
