Ever since Gary McCord was banned from the Masters for his cute remarks a few years ago and I read the magazine article that contained a copy of the letter that Tom Watson wrote telling them to "get rid of the guy" or something to that effect, I lost some respect for Watson. I've always thought he was a great golfer but the letter showed a snobbish attitude, at least to me. I didn't think what McCord said was all that bad, at least not bad enough to get kicked out of the place. I guess in the end, McCord got waxed. Now see, Lefty, not all of them are non-USA. Have a great day everybody.
Jerry
Funny how the four names mentioned are all non USA.
Oh come on now, are you really going to try to use this thread to try to stir up anti American sentiments? With the exception of Vijay (I think he gets a bum rap) these players seem very unlikable. Instead of trying to politicize this, why not come up with some active US players you find particularly more unsavory than this bunch?

Modern Day...Colin Montgomerie and Curtis Strange...of the older golfers has to be Tom Weiskopf, saw him when I was a teenager at the 1978 PGA at Oakmont, my neighbor took me and he was was big time back then, I was hoping to get his autograph and held out the program guide for him to sign with my neighbor right there and he looked right at me and just turned and walked away like I was a nothing...sure there's lots of stories like that out there...but my neighbor to that day still recalls the hurt on my face when he completely ignored me...
I heard some Curtis Strange stories of a similar nature where he was at a Benefit tournament and refused to give autographs to children who were suffering from serious illness another neighbor of mine saw this personally and went almost nuts when he pulled that maneuver on the kids...oh the words from his mouth weren't too kind of there ole Curtis Strange...
i'd have to go with mr.sabbatini as well. what a load of **** that was. we've all played with, or behind slow players before. grow some self control buddy.

So it's taken this long for Fuzzy Zoeller to show up? That guy is a first class ***** . I don't like Sergio either and I think he's a baby and a punk, but Zoeller is a racist ******* . One doesn't say the things he said on the record and be "just kidding around".
Also, Zoeller reminds me of this insufferable guy who I used to have to deal with. He was a manufacturers rep and a scratch golfer. But man, the guy was just an arrogant jerk who looked like Zoeller when he was 45.
I understand why people don't like Vijay but I like the guy just fine. I think it was kind of weird that he wouldn't play in the same tournament as Annika but whatever. Golf is a game of tradition (not all good) so Vijay can hide behind that for now.
Others offend me by their sheer blandness. David Toms comes to mind. No one really pulls for the guy because that means we would have to listen to his dry, humorless, and sleepy elocution for a week afterwards. I'm sure he's a great guy, but he'll never host the Oscars.
I find Justin Leonard to have an annoying personality as well. However, I will always have to love the guy for bombing that monster putt at the Ryder Cup. I just wish the guy didn't take himself so seriously. Definately not a dude I'd call to meet me for some beer and pool playing after knocking off work early on a Friday.

I think Leonard would be a great guy to hang around but maybe cause we are both Texas Longhorns.
