we all need a caddies!!

If we all could concentrate on where we should hit it, instead of where we are most likely to find it, the game would be much easier.

Ok, I am going to swing at this and you keep and eye on it. If I hit a bad shot, find it some place good.

Its a golf cart sport; and thats why the average weekend golfers scores have not improved in the last twenty five years. Right about the time caddies lost there jobs and golf carts took over.

thats true for most people.. i must be one of the few people who actually likes the cart over actually having a caddy.. obviously if i was playin in a tournament or something i would want and need the caddy. but for just playing a casual round id rather keep to myself.. i play with friends, but i dont like getting advice on shots.. i never get mad at myself, and i actually stay focused. if i hit a bad shot ive already forgotten about it by the time i put my club back in the bag, which is weird for me because normally im a little short tempered. but whenever im on the golf course im the most mellow person alive.. i just look at golf as a fun sport to enjoy and that actually helps me get away from life for a little while and just relax.. i think having a caddy give me advice would tend to make me more competitive and which would cause to me get mad more often :)

I never like having a caddy in casual rounds or competition....unless it's someone that I know well... because then they know to be quiet when I have a bad shot, not give me any advice and to not talk about golf inbetween shots.
I'd rather just carry my own bag... much easier.

Besides...why use a real caddie when you can have

THE SKY CADDIE! YOU'LL HAVE MORE FUN AND SHOOT LOWER SCORES, GUARANTEED!

Hehe. I think I watched that entire infomercial twice last week. Pretty cool product. I bet they love that Jacobsen is still in reasonable striking distance right now and that Gulbis did so well last weekend. Now if they could just come off that $349 price tag...

My son's a caddy at a local private club. He gets $18 plus tip which usually averages another $15 - $20.

I am going to try to put my theory to the test some time this week. I have a neighbor who would probably do a ride along with me. He knows nothing about golf but he could spot for me at the very least.

Also my home course is a mess. They have not cut anything but the fairways in what looks like a couple of weeks and anything five foot off the fairway is a challenge to find let alone hit. Its literally knee high in some spots and indistinguishable from the primary cut of rough to the high stuff. The course is already tight as a drum to begin with so this almost makes it unplayable. Needless to say this has upped my frustration level.

I am going to go by this afternoon and ask if they have cut it before I pay for my round. If not I am going to walk away and take a drive to a different course. Maybe they will get the message. I would think they would get the idea from the fact that me and a few other groups were the only ones on the course this weekend but evidently not. Grant it its a low cost hackers course but this is ridiculous.

I could probably knock a few shots off my handicap if I had a whole pile of people looking for my ball in the rough when I hot one offline, like the pros do...

I've never played with a caddie but I did shoot the best score of my life one day when my usual playing partner could only walk the course due to back pain...
