Ever had "one of those days"

Hubby and I went out this morning, he is good, I am learning. From the first tee niether of us could hit the ball! By the 4th hole we were getting pretty frustrated, a fivesome of teenagers in front of us, twosomes stacking up behind us, the wind was whipping. By the 8th hole (and at least 20 lost balls and who knows how many mulligans we looked at each other and said "wanna go home?", decided to play the back nine, ripped up the scorecard, got a sixpack and went to the 10th. The wind stopped, we were both on the green, got bogeys and it just kept getting better! No one in front or behind us, every hole was par or bogey. My drives were landing next to his, except the 360 yarder he nailed! We could not be stopped, the best nine we ever played

Sometime when you take your brain out of golf it becomes a real easy game.

Yeah tell me about it!
Played my first tournament yesterday, PAR 68, I play off 23. Been playing 6 months
Couldn't cope with the pressure, shot a 51 front nine!!
Then shot a 35 back nine!!! 1 over par on the back nine!
And I had never broke 40 before!!

I have these all the time. Actually I had one today. I took a 4 day golf break, came back, first shot duffed and into the weeds in the left. 2nd shot, just a little further. A full round later I was getting it back, decided to play again and ended up shooting a hole in one on the 3rd hole! Man, golf is weird game.

Cajunfever got it right--sometimes we just think too much! Thats been my problem lately...too many thoughts as I stand over the ball. Nicklaus once said that when all else fails, just go hit the ****** thing!

I've been playing decent golf (for me) lately. Last week, I played two nine hole matches and an 18 hole tourney on Saturday. Sunday we went out, and I was ready to pack up the clubs and leave. he only thing I can think is that I was "golfed out."
