Men's Groups, etc. (finding other players)

My regular foursome is teetering on the brink due to pending job changes, family obligations, etc. It may be time to look for other players to play golf with.

I don't have the hay to buy a private club membership. I've heard about men's groups that may be available at local public golf courses, just wondering if anyone has any advice or comments about joining one or other good ways to meet other golfers.

I have moved a lot in my career in the military and private life. I always went out as a single at a course near-by and got joined up with different people, did this a few times at different courses. Soon as a few people saw me play and conversation was going i would mention that i was looking for a mens group to join ands usually was invited to come play with a couple of different ones and when i found a group of guys i liked, i stayed,

I played in a mens league just about every place I've lived. Most always on a public course.....it's a good way to meet some new people....I've met guys that I'm still friends with today 8 years after moving away.
