Do you stop to eat at the turn?

If I'm hungry sometimes I like to run inside and grab a hotdog at the turn. Usually takes no more than 5 minutes.

Usually we let the group behind us go ahead through if they aren't stopping as well. On a couple occasions I've had some grumpy old men start screaming at us as we tee up on #10 and they're putting on #9.

I nearly lost my temper with one old coot because he assumed we were sneaking onto the course and jumping ahead of him. After I explained, he was very apologetic and even approached me in the clubhouse afterwards to apologize again. Oh well, no harm done.

Depending on the time of the day, yes I do like a snack after nine.

Hmmm.. with my group, we usually stop for lunch or dinner at the club house after the first nine. Based on your story of a 5 minute break, I'm guessing having an hour long meal in between is not normal.

I very rarely stop at the turn to eat anything...I just speed on by to the 10th tee while the slowpokes in front of me stop to get a hot dog.

They should really put a hotdog cart and minibar between 9 and 10.

We usually stop at the turn and get a dog and some beers or Gatorade...I don't usually play too well the first couple holes, not sure if it's just the eating thing messing me up or not, but gotta get grub in ya.

If I stop, I almost always blow up on #10. But it's better than being hungry.

Every 18 hole round I play. Stop and get a Glazier's hot dog, Gatorade, and chocolate. And for people who have no idea what a Glazier's is, it's a red Hot dog.

Well it'd have to be in the 1st tee on ours as its also the 10th tee..lol

I think its a great idea, as long as it doesn't hold up play.

I don't think its a good idea to eat too much in one go during a round, as your body will be trying to digest food when you tee off again. I think I'd rather have a good feast after a round instead & just sip on water & maybe munch a bananna, whilst waiting for someone to tee off.

I make sure to pack energy snacks in my bag and I never stop at the turn unless nature calls. I came to play golf......not eat!

I usually stop to at least get a drink. It seems like most players do around here. Sometimes I get something to eat if I can just pick it up.
