For those of you who

can play year round, do you need to take a month off or so to keep the juices flowing?

Not me. Golf has kind of become a way of life for me. Just like I get up every morning and go to work, or take a shower, I always end my work day by going to the driving range and hitting a couple of buckets of balls. And I play an 18-hole round nearly every Saturday.

I play pretty much all year, maybe have the occasional Sunday off, but usually at least 36 holes at the weekend. Add 9 on a Tuesday and Thursday (range in the Winter) and i guess i'm pretty lucky

You still play and practice that often during the rainy season? I took up golf this year after the LA rainy season, so never having experienced it as a golfer, I'm kind of dreading it.

This question was totally uncalled for not to mention cruel as our 8 month season (yes we can play for 8 months here in Michigan) is rapidly zipping by. You warm weather guys will never know the joys of ice-fishing.

I think it's unfair that you can play for 8 months...here on the eastern end of the lake, we're lucky to sneak 7 in. On the bright side, it's like starting the game over each and every season. The promise of an entire new year....year-round golfers will never get that experience.

I've played in 28* weather in February. . .I couldn't believe the course was even open. . .This course has full cover canopies for the carts and rent out propane heaters!! I stayed away from the propane due to fear of fire. . .But I'll play as much as the weather will allow.

You'd only have school left to do....all the bookwork would be pretty boring. girlstudier? girlacademician? girlbookworm? girlscientist? They don't have quite the same ring to them....

Oh, and BTW.... for playing year round.

I am lucky to play all year round and can't even think about taking a break from golf. I feel the juices flowing every week when I park my car, put on my golf shoes and walk towards the 1st tee (via the driving range of course for a proper warmup).

Germany is weird............I guess you can pretty much play all year round......provided we have a mind winter, some years it is possible others it is not. I played last winter in the rain in January 37 degrees out and almost caught my death in the process.
