Revamped My Swing Completely

I've been working in my backyard on a more technically-correct swing, using those white plastic practice balls. I've spent about 30 minutes a day hinging my wrists, keeping my left arm straight and my head down, etc., and it's made a difference.

I shot a 91 today, which is about as low as I've ever scored. I flirted with par all day long and was able to get out of trouble when I needed to.

I decided today that I was not going to play tense or timid, and I focused on solid technique.

My new swing does have its problems. I'm not sure how far my clubs go anymore. I hit a PW 150 yards today, but I think I was swinging too hard.

Good job....the key thing is to make sure and stay with the newer, better swing, even when you have the inevitable bumps along the road. So many people work on things and implement them for a round or two, but then go back to their old habits once they play a bad nine or 18 holes. I'm guilty of it myself...finding something that I know is right, yet I'll get off to a bad start and revert to my old ways because I figure I can scrape it around with bogeys and an occasional par rather than sticking with what will help my game and lead to easier pars and birdies once I get it down better.

i second that!

don't give up..it's frustrating when u're swing don't work out fine initially ..when u couldn't hit the ball straight like u used to ... but once u got it (looks like u did! ) .. then it all worth it .. till the next revamp comes along anyway.

i had problem with my yardage too after a recent swing revamp too ... but it was an easy problem to solve.. since i was hitting further distance due to better contact..i'll just take one club less than what i normally need to (wat used to be a 7 iron distance for me became an 8 iron ) . I was overhitting for 1 entire round before my fren pointed it out to me .. (i was like "Duh" , why i didn't think of it before and why u didn't tell me before we finish the 18th )

cheers
