If I were only more consistant!

So I went and played a round today. I hit a 110 which is normal for me. I usually hit around 108 to 110 with a few lower scores in there but I have never broke 100 yet. I keep the score cards to compare with previous rounds. Today I compared my score cards and thought how much better my game would be if I could be more consistant. I then went through the score cards and wrote down the best score I had on each hole and totaled them up, it came to an 81. Heck, I could be hitting an 81 and shave 29 points off my game if I could just hit more consistantly. Oh well, some day.

Well your on your way dude. Your mind is active and that is a good thing. I do the same exact thing after each round, but I break down shots and holes. Your having fun also right?

I shot 37 (9 holes, par 35) yesterday and 51 (9 holes, par 36) today. Explain that. I don't think a different course accounts for 15 strokes.

tell me abt it... i see saw between 90 to 105... but the way i analyse my scores, if i putt good...i score good....
putt bad...score bad...(eg. par 4 with 2 on , but 4 putts!!! from a birdie chance to double bogey! last weekend )

my recovery from a bad drive is normally ok since my irons are pretty consistent...so the key is probably to find your weak point(s) and improve on them... if it's 1 or 2 area like putting and chipping , it's easier to target (easy to say also , but to do is another story) ... of course, if it's the overall game..then it is probably back to the fundamentals...

not bad, all it takes is practice. lots of it. it took me about 3 days a week for 2 years to shave off about 10 strokes. just get out on the driving range and hit balls all the time if that's possible. it really helps becoming more consistent, especially with your iron game

I'm at the same stage that you are but I notice now I'm getting more consistent on the range. Now I need to take it to the course. One of the biggest things that's made me more consistent is paying attention to my address, posture, and setup position. Once you find what works best for you in regards to those three things I can almost guarantee you your ball striking will be much more consistent.

How many strokes are lost between the tee to green? and how many inside 100 yards? I'd bet you most of your shots are lost within 100 yards....work on the 9, PW and SW...play par-3's in your area.

Can't say enough about getting it done from within that yardage.
