Thumbs up M.S. tourney & WW2 vet

Had the greatest privelege to play in a Muscular Sclerosis event today, and had a WW2 vet as a member of our team. What an honor! Being out and hitting the links at 80+ is impressive enough, but this Warior could putt !! He bailed us out on more than 1 hole. We played Par golf, but what a beautiful day...great cause... heck... even won a bag AND a travel cover @ the raffle...
..anyone having the opportunity to get together with a senior player, is well worth the time spent.....
BTW... -17 won the Tourn..........

... I can't imagine....

Theres alot to be learned from some senior players. The length might not be there anymore, but they sure make up for it in accuracy. Needless to say, I've had my rear end kicked a few times on the course. Hopefully I'll be whipping up on some young guys when I'm their age.

My mother took up the game at the ripe age of 79 and is still going strong at 84 bless her heart. She may not be a world beater but she enjoys the game more than anyone I know.

I play a lot of rounds at the local munis and have had the pleasure of sharing a round with many a senior. With the exception of the occassional know-it-all crummudgeon it's always a good time.
