Don't be too concerned about offending anyone - it's par for the course here and there are some very thin skins!!

Having been down the divorce route with kids 400 miles away and not much left after alimony, all I can say is that golf is great for taking your mind off things. Also FWIW, the most important thing is to keep in touch with your kids as often as you can without using them as "weapons" against your ex - in fact, you should both agree to that in the interest of the kids.

Gratefully, both mine are grown up and married, one in the UK and one in the US and they are both fine people who get on very well with Dad. Their Mom and I are also on good terms and attended both weddings without any discomfort.

It's sometimes hard to do but remember that you probably loved and admired each other once - whatever the circumstances it's easier to forgive and to respect the other parent of your children - it also helps you to move on positively!!

( Sorry if this is a bit of a diatribe but I hope it helps heal the hurt)

Well put, but he did assume I was offended. All my post said was "whatever." I was not offended, just a little annoyed, and I don't have a thin skin (I know you didn't actually say I did, I was just pointing it out). It's a horrible thing what he's going through, and my problem is minor considering I have no children. It was just one of those days... So, I apoligize for turning this thread into something so depressing. But hopefully for him, me, and everyone... it will all work out for the best.

I'll drink to that. I've got an unopened bottle of true Mexican tequila here that I brought back from my trip this summer if you guys want to belly up to the bar.
