Most of you have been very kind with your answers to my numerous questions. I thought I would take a moment to share my minor success story. I want to preface this story by saying that I am going trough a very rough time right now, so there is no way my mood could have advanced my swing quality at all. A couple weeks ago I went to a golf expo and while I was there I got on a swing monitor (sort of). It was actually a setup where they video tape you doing three swings with a driver and three with a 6 iron. You take it home and load it on your computer so you can view your swing in slo-mo. It also has Tiger, VJ, Couples and Mickelson on it. You can view your swing side by side one of those, or overlay them. The guys doing the setup are golf pros somewhere and were offering a few suggestions as they reviewed the disk. They had something like 4 or 5 suggestions for me. Anyway, this weekend was really nice weather for around here at this time of year so my son and I went to the range. I wanted to practice with my new TM V-steel. I made a concious effort to try all the things that these pros had suggested and guess what? I started hitting every shot dead on straight and pretty darn long for me. I figured it was just because of the 3wood being a bit straighter for most folks so I pulled out the R7. recently I had set the R7 back to neutral (high) shot instead of the draw bias I had been using to fight my slice. People kept telling me to "learn to swing the right way before moving the weights". Of course it is cold and raining now, so until I can get an indoor range set up, I wont be able to tell if this was just a one off thing or not. If they are out there anywhere reading this, I would like to thank Bud and Marty of Golf Video Services for the swing analysis and tips. Look for these guys at a golf expo in your area.

That's not right Kevkaos...I know you're kidding, I was going to give you kudos, but now I'm not, just kidding of course. That's awesome! It's so tough to get things to migrate to the course...and actually try them and trust them. Way to go. What parts of the world do you live (..."right now it's cold and raining")...we're expecting snow here in the next few days...ugh.
Oh come on, it was just a joke. I really didn't mean to offend you.
I would like to apologise for my comment since it did appear to offend some people.
I do hope that you will except my apoligy as it is sincere.

I'm in Baltimore Maryland USA. We don't usually have snow at this time of year, but it is usually very WINDY and cold. Lately it has been very nice and rather warm. A real indian summer. That will change soon.

It's all fine. No need to apoligize because if I seemed offended it was because everything seemed to offend me a the time. Things have been pretty rough latley, and yeah, it was funny, just not to me at the time. I don't live all that far from 2 major cities though, and a couple of others that are good sized, and they probably do have golf expos, I just haven't looked.
I have lived in a major city before though, and I would never go back. Not when I can live here for 1/2 the money, 1/4 the crime, and cheap golf courses.
Your point is well taken. I used to spend my summers in a small town of 2000 people in North Carolina when I was a kid and I loved the life there. I would do it now if I could make a living at anything else.
I know exactly what you mean about your mood. I eluded to the same sort of thing in my posting but didn't go into details. Long story short, I just found out late last week that my ex-wife is moving on Jan 3rd with my 14 year old daughter and 17 year old son to Georgia. I'm in Maryland. To say I am upset is an understatement. Maybe thats why my attempt at humor was while not 100% appropriate, was my attempt at maintaining a sense of humor during troubled times.
Enough of this somber stuff. Lets enjoy golf. Golf beats ex-wives anyday, even as poorly as I play.

Not trying to keep it deprssing, but I know what you mean because my girlfriend who's been planning to move here from Conneticut for the past year decided two days ago that she don't want to anymore after I bought the non refundable plane tickets, and my dad rescheduled work to take me to the airport, so he's now working on Christmas day... Not to mention a couple of weeks ago someone asked her "what are you going to eat?" when she said she was moving to Missouri, so if I took if personal, that's mostly why. I know you didn't mean it personally. As well, I've got a great paying job here where my boss treats me like a human being, and if I moved there I'd have to get special liscensing because I'm an electrician, so let's forget about it. I just thought I'd shed some light on my ill temprament, but I'm feeling better now.
