novato, ca area

Will be staying in novato, ca area for a while and was wondering if anyone knows of any public or ranges that's close by. I've looked in the phone book and so far I've only seen what appears to be classy golf clubs. Really just want to hit some balls as I've been off on vacation for about 2 months without touching a golf club. My game was terrible before I left and I hate to imagine where it's at now. Thanks for the info.

In Novato itself is www.ivgc.com Indian Valley, the NCGA website says it is public and green fees are $26 to $55...in Petaluma, just up the road a bit is Rooster Run www.roosterrun.com, buddy of mine says it is a decent course. Also check out http://www.ncga.org and click on COURSE DIRECTORY then the North Bay area...

A 2 month vacation without any golf? What kind of crazy vacation is that?
That's like going to Vegas and not playing blackjack, or going to the Chinese buffet and not having an eggroll! I sure hope you find a place to play, and that your priorities get back into alignment!

Not far to the East of Novato on Hwy 37 is the City of Vallejo. Several places to play include Blue Rock Springs and Mare Island. These courses have driving ranges, have 18 holes and are reasonably priced.

Good luck!

Take the hour drive and head over to the coast to play Bodega Bay. It's been about five years since I last played it, but it certainly one of the more memorial tracks in Northern CA that I've played.
