The Courses listed above are in or near Ocean City MD.
The weather there looks ok for this weekend but it seems most of the courses are closed today because nobody was answering the phone. Prolly not a good sign.
About 10 miles north of Warren, if you know where the Pennsylvania Warren is. Everyone down here thinks Warren, Ohio when I say where I'm from. If you don't know where that is, it's about 50 miles east of Erie, pretty much hugging the NY border.
Can't say that I've heard of Warren, PA, know of/been to North East, PA....but that's about it for any northern treks in PA. Good luck!
Maybe I was a little bit overconfident in my shooting abilities, but he was over 350 yards away and running...which makes me feel a little less badly about it.
Over 350 on the run?...yeah, that's confidence, allright. Only way I'd take a shot like that is at a trophy. Musta been open to get 3 shots. Definitely braggin' rights if you'da hit that one. , I threadjacked...sorry, had too .
A fellow diehard golfer and myself are considering a golf trip this weekend. According to the weather forcast we need to get to very southern PA to find decent weather to play.
We are considering going to Ocean City Maryland area but I am looking for suggestions in the east north east.
We are coming from Upstate NY Cooperstown Area
Hello,
I'm down here in North Carolina and am waiting for the weather to warm up so I can get out on the course. Can't imagine playing up north right now because afternoon temps are only in the 40's here in NC.
So I'm back after 36 somewhat successful holes of Golf.
I played a place called Rum Pointe and Highly reccomend it. It was beautiful and well maintained. Forgiving and challenging. The guy running the shop was friendly, helpful and cool,.
GPS System on the carts which is awesome. So if you're out that way hit Rum pointe and tell em Tim sent ya.
Also played Eagles Landing. Another great course. A little longer than Rum Pointe because the whites at Rum pointe had been moved up for the winter.
The staff wasn't as freindly but they weren't rude.
I'd reccomend and return to both courses.
6 hours and 20 minutes each way.
Left at four in the morning on Saturday and started playing at 11 am at Rum Pointe.
Started PLaying at 9 am sunday and was home by 8:15 PM
Both places claim to stay open all winter but to call ahead
It was odd frost and snow on the ground less than a mile from Rum pointe but it was clean and open.
We'd play in that in a heart beat. We waited for the frost to lift three or four times this fall.
Guess I'm half-spoiled living well south of Mason-Dixon line. I have played in 45-50 degree weather and enjoyed it but only with bright sun and calm wind. Short days this time of year also make it inconvenient to squeeze in golf. Not only that, sometimes courses will be too wet after one or two days of steady rain during winter.
Over in TN near Nashville...we're still teeing it up around 38-40 as long as the wind ain't howlin'. I spent 30 years in NC...what part of the state are you in?

I'm in the Triangle close to Raleigh so it's not so bad here.
