Golfing this weekend 12/10

A fellow diehard golfer and myself are considering a golf trip this weekend. According to the weather forcast we need to get to very southern PA to find decent weather to play.

We are considering going to Ocean City Maryland area but I am looking for suggestions in the east north east.

We are coming from Upstate NY Cooperstown Area

Pick a location that is within the range you want to travel and hit the Weather Channel's website weather.com for a forecast. Good Luck!

Here in north Texas we're running out of golf weather. It's supposed to be extremely cold this week but Sunday it's suppose to be up in the upper 50's. Between the weather and travel plans to the New York City area for Christmas it could be my last round of golf for the year.

Personally I prefer to play when it's above 50 degree without too much wind.

Being from upstate NY above 50 without too much wind is more along the lines of close to perfect not just good enough. :) I used the weather channel website to base my plans on how far south we should travel.

Have fun going to the city for Christmas.

Man, good luck to you, we're snow covered in a decent area round here and temps are dropping into the teens tonight. Hope you can find a suitable place to get some golfing in. Good luck!

Thank you, golfaholic.

f1honda if was gonna get above 40 here I'd just stay home and play around here but it looks like its gonna stay around thirty.

Anybody here from the Ocean City Maryland Area? And by Area I mean within 100 miles and having a comparable weather pattern?

Supposed to rain a little here Thursday and Friday, but Saturday should be a nice 70-72 degrees and sunny. I'm gonna do my best to get in a round this weekend! I'd love to score the day's high temp, but I usually only do that in the summer when it's in the 90s!

I grew up in Rehoboth Beach, De, which is about 25 miles north of Ocean City. I spoke to my parents last night and they had several inches of snow yesterday, but they don't expect it stick long. They did mention there is another chance of snow on Friday, but they are hoping to be in the 40's for the weekend. Although, the coast normally feels a couple degrees warmer than the temperature (off shore breezes or something). I have never played golf in Ocean City, but the new public course in the Rehoboth Area is the Rookery. I have never played there, but a lot of my high school buddies do and they speak well of it. They have a website at http://www.rookerygolf.com.

Not to far away from the Rookery is a newish course called Baywood Green in Rehobeth Beach. I played 9 holes there. It is a beautiful course. It is billed as "exclusively public". Normal rate is like $90 for 18 holes.

Man, I hate to tell you this, but southern Pennsylvania is getting 3 to 6 inches of snow on Friday! You'd better plan on going much farther south because there is snow cover from previous light snows already throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.

We can usually play pretty much up to Christmas around here, but not this year--unless we get a considerable warm up, but then everything will be mush!
