Winter golf gloves - anyone use them?

I am going to start practicing at the local heated range over the winter, but its still cold enough under the heaters where you can still use gloves. I am sure there are many different companies making winter gloves now. Does anyone use them, and if so, what kind would you recommend?

I picked up a pair of Snake Eyes winter golf gloves at Golfsmith for less than $10. They seem to do the trick.

Winter Gloves

Absolutely. They are really rain gloves and work very well. I played twice over the weekend in 38* weather. If I can keep my ears and hands warm, that's 90% of the battle.

They felt a little odd at first, but fairly easy to get used to.

I used the Footjoy whatchamacallits...the black one with the elastic around your wrist. It comes with a left and right glove, but I only used one. It wasn't too cold the last time I used it (San Diego winter), but it works fine. The only problem you might have, if you go play a round, is if you like to putt without a glove. It's a little more of a hassle to take off and put on than the regular gloves, other than that, it's perfect.

I bought some to try with fly fishing in the winter. They worked pretty well. They are warm, cover a lot of area (past the wrists), and thin enough to fly fish with. I even tied a few flies with both gloves on.

The course/greens would be frozen now and the courses are probably closed, so it's time for something else like fly fishing and snowboarding.

I wear them all the time and they also make great driving gloves. IN the summer you can usually get two pair for $8.00 from Golfsmith.

I picked up a set last night and took them out with me today. I didn't like the feel of two gloves. I didn't have any feel of the club, and like someone said DON'T putt with them. Ran a bunch by the hole because of the lack of feel. Took out my regular glove after about 4 or 5 holes and my scoes started improving. Maybe in time I would grow to get used to them ,but I am going to take care of that at the range I guess.

If it isn't too cold and you want to maintain "feel" lost through winter gloves try buying a regular golf glove for your right (or left hand if left-handed) hand. You will keep both hands warmer and still have some feel. Also small baggie hand warmers in your pockets help if you still use a cart.
