Well...this weekend (July 3, 4 & 5) is the Club Championship tournament at the club I belong to, So everyone please say a prayer to the Golf Gods for me , I would like to contend.

I have the driver working decent and I'm hitting the irons as well as I ever have...soooo, if the putter holds up it should be interesting.

Please do. Stroke play, I assume? On Day 1, just try NOT to shoot yourself out of it. Don't worry about people who are shooting lights-out; they'll come back to the pack. Just hang around, give yourself a chance, get yourself in position. Good luck!

Yeah, putting is the key, try not to get aggressive on your long lag putts, just try and lag it down there to tap in range. I know that when i am trying to make those long putts i rush them by the hole.
Jimesomebody made a good suggestion, i agree with that 100%.

Hey, the golf gods hate my guts, so I'll just privately keep my fingers crossed that all goes well for you this weekend. It would really be neat to have a club champion as part of the gang!

Well...the weekend was fun, but the golf wasn't my best :-/....I took 9th place with rounds of 82-79-81...
Two thing's hurt my game over the three day's:
1. Couldn't hit a drive in the darn fairway
2. It was so humid out by the time the round was over I looked as though I just
stepped out of the shower!

Oh well...like I said it was fun.
