Tournament Director / Popular Club Games
Next year I'll be one of our clubs tournament directors and was wondering what tournament activities besides the standard monthly tournament your clubs have that are popular with your members?

Our club has the following events during the course of the year...

Monthly Tourneys
Presidents Cup
2 Man Teams
4 Man Teams
Club Championship
Buick Scramble Qualifier
Saturday, Sunday, and Holiday Skins games


Some formats I thought would be interresting...

Bi Monthly Away Tournaments
Member Guest or Member Junior Tourney


Any other thoughts on what may be a popular event?

Try a night golf tourney with the glow-stick balls. One of our local clubs did that and the members loved it - it also increased dinner sales and bar receipts! I don't have any details about how they ran it, format, etc. But I do know they did it once it started getting dark around 7pm (early October here), and 2 1/2 months later I still find a glow ball every now and then when I go rummaging through the woods.

Is that 3-clubs like... driver, 8 iron, putter, or... our country club plays a "tri" match with two other local clubs?

It's like "driver, 8 iron, putter" but your idea works too!
