Photos from Monarch Dunes - opened on New Years Day!

I got to play Monarch Dunes in the sun today! I played last Sunday on opening day in the rain - shooting 92. Today I shot 81. A nice improvement. I just love this new course! I highly recommend you play this course if you're ever on the Central Coast.

Purty! What's the slope rating? That grass looks like it could swallow a ball if you get off the fairway!

The USGA will be visiting the course on Jan. 18 to rate the course. Yes, they've made every effort to re-create a Scottish Links course - including ball swallowing grassy dunes ;)

Angel, the course is located just south of San Luis Obispo, halfway between Los Angeles and San Fransisco, CA.
