Just curious, but since it's still the winter and there's not much to do...
Has everyone forgotten about the rematch in the colossal battle of youth versus the infirmed...the mid-May massacre...the Baby Boomer beatdown...or were you just worried that if you started the thread, you'd have to be the captain?
Not familiar with what you speak of...can you fill me in...and congratulations on hitting the 6K mark....I don't know when I'll ever get to that mark....I mean geez...must be lots of "Post Quick Reply" hits that you've done...
Believe it or not, I've only used the quick reply once in my time here. I didn't like the way it worked so I use the traditional method for all my posts.
Same format as last year? Or is it going to be a net score this year? Either way I'm interested - I'm not saying I'm in yet, since last year I never got my round in and I want to know the details first regarding whether I'd be able to participate (school, work, weather, etc.) - but if it's gross then I'd definitely drag down the YGs (aka. make it a level playing field ).
The same format as last year sounds good to me if it's good for everyone else...from the back tees, team with the lowest average score-course rating wins. Anyone over 50 is an automatic OG, anyone under 30 is an automatic YG...those in between fall in the "grey area" (no pun intended) and can choose whichever team they'd like to play on.
But, so far it looks like only YGs will be facing off against each other...where are all the OGs? My guess is they all fell asleep after dinner and BINGO.

If it's a choice matter Card, I'll play for either team. I'll hit forty this year, and my "gray areas" don't scare me any. Playing from the tips don't scare me any either.
I'm a "tweener" at 42, but I'll volunteer for the OG team, if they'll have me. Also, can you provide a brief synopsis oif how things work? That other thread is LOOOOONG and I'll be a true geezer by the time I read all of it! And do you have to have an official handicap? If so, I'll try to get one between now and the northern thaw!

At any rate, count me in for the younger crowd...
Im in california and would love to play what ever this match up is. So count me in. What do i need to do?
Sure, the competition runs from the beginning til the end of May. You'll need to play one round in that time frame, from the back tees. In order for that score to count you'll need to submit your intentions to play to the team captains (which we don't have yet) prior to when you play. After, you submit your score and rating of the course you played to the captains and wait til the end of the month for the totals to come out.
