New Odyssey 7 Ball Putter Announced...

OK. Maybe not...but that does seem to be where this thing is headed. After all, they just introduced the 3 Ball putter with (and I love this) 'Saturn Ring' tecnology. Huh? I admit it...I own the 2 Ball version (and I'm thrilled with it). But now I can truly say that I would not be totally surprised to see the "7 Ball Roller" with a 'Quantum Flux Deviator'. My question is, "Exactly how much real estate is this sucker going to occupy?" Where does this end? How many balls are too much (don't answer)? My apologies for this mild rant, but when I first saw the ad (for the 3 Ball), I honestly thought it was a Saturday Night Live kind of parody. Has anyone hit the new Ping 'Turtle Shell' 640 cc driver yet?

'Saturn Ring' technology sounds like they are copying Ping's crescent shaped 'Half Moon' tech. My son plays the DFX two-ball, and was surprised to see the three ball. We had a good laugh, and wondered the same thing you did. Are they going to four ball? five? more?

It's all 'Sales Pitch Technology"... the original blade putter does as well as any other out there. It's the hack that's holding the thing.

In keeping with the cosmic theme, can the 'Uranus' putter be far behind ... I mean...closer to launch? And, pray tell, who would want 'Uranus Technology'?

I thought I read somewhere a few years back that anything more than two balls (keep it clean, fellas) was deemed illegal by the USGA. Am I wrong? (Well, apparently) But they must have changed this rule at some point.

Yeah, and is it a double bend shaft? I wonder what color the grip will be?

I personally think Odyssey putters rule but have you seen the size of that thing? Its ridiculous in my opinion. Exactly what you said Sellmate. When is it going to end? I think its getting a little out of hand. Do the saturn rings and 3 ball design really improve your putting? Honestly.
