i think it'll come up sometime during the fall. you should definitely check out www.golfchannel.com, though. does anyone know how justin peters did in his canadian tour events? i saw the first one and he had back problems of some sort.

okay, i checked golfchannel.com and found this page for the big break

http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.aspx?page=23232

it doesn't have an air date. only that it comes in 2004. i guess fall sounds right as they just finished auditions for the show. apparently, big break 3 is going to be ladies only.

yeah, i didn't really like the first one but i still watched it whenever i could. as a reality show, it wasn't very entertaining. sure they were competiting with each other but i think when it comes to golf, they're not really willing to punch below the belt.

so how is this one gonna be different? i think what makes reality shows so entertaining is you can see people stoop to lows to win. eat a plate full of bugs, betray their "friends" to win or just argue because of plain personality clashes. seems pretty much the opposite from the way golfers handle themselves.

The show would be more interesting if they would at least give Nationwide Tour exemptions. They should get better golfers, too. I think they should have all guys from mini tours for whom golf is their livelihood. Then you'll probably see more competitive emotions and none of this, "i'm happy for you" stuff that made the first season boring.

well, i enjoyed the show and i'm definitely looking forward to the next season. i didn't watch the show for the golf. i can watch any tournament on tv for that. i watched it for the characters and the personalities. plus, they did some pretty fun drills.

In the link Montipora posted to Golf Channel's Big Break Web site, they have a little banner about Big Break III. I wonder what the prize for the winner will be. Exemptions onto the Futures Tour?

The original Big Break kept my interest for a couple of weeks but if you want to see "trick shots" you should play with some of the guys in my league.

The Golf Channel has recently started in the uk, and the Big Break is one of the programmes being shown. I know Justin Peters wins it, but its still pretty good entertainment anyways. I thought Jon looked a good player, before he went out quite early on, and that Mark (Farnham?) really rode his luck a few times. when do you think the bb2 will air over here?

Looks like Golf Channel is ready to start Big Break 2. They're having a show next Tuesday (June 1) where you can meet the contestants. It sounds like they're going ot let viewers vote for their favorite golfer. Check out the following link:

I saw most of the replay. It seems like they have a higher caliber of players. I really liked the first season, and will watch this one also. Now my only small complaint, what is with the eye candy? I know the new co-host is hot, but what can she add to the show besides look good in shorts(okay I answered my own question). She didn't seem really comfortable in her role, and didn't ask very interesting questions.

Later,
Keith
