Why

Why can we remember every shot in the golf course but have a hard time recalling what we had for lunch the previous day :)

i think my school teachers would have liked for me to have been able to remember school work like i can golf

Because we care a whole **** lot more about our golf game than we do about yesterdays lunch.

I can't remember what I had for breakfast 2 hours ago, but I remember a golf shot from 2 years ago.

I remember the fried egg lie in the bunker that I holed out for birdie a month ago when I was too "sick" to go to work. I guess that's more like remembering your breakfast and golf...IS THIS THING ON? I think I'm going to feel a bit sick on monday... cough...cough.

Non sequitur...I start my "sickness" a couple days prior with coughing and bit of sneezing. I let it get progressively worse toward the sick day. When I call in sick on the third day, I get no questions when I get back from work. Fridays are off limits to sick days...unless I'm really sick.

I think it has to do with how focused you are out there. Golf is like a getaway for me. The better shots of mine stay in my memory longer, but I can look at an old score card and "go through" that round.
