If you could, what three players (living to deceased) would you pick to make your dream foursome? And what course would you play. I would have to go with:

1. Bill Murray - A chance to play with Carl Spackler! Probably would not finish the round I'd be laughing too hard.
2. Jack Nicklaus - One of the all time greats - too bad his clubs have not done his name justice.
3. Arnold Palmer - A legend.

Augusta National - where else?

My dream foursome would probably be Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods and Charles Barkley. That's the best I could think of right now. I'd want to play at Augusta, too but that's because I just read the "best major" thread and you suggested it. I can't think of anywhere else right now.

My dream foursome would be Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, and Old Tom Morris.
Jack because he's the greatest of all time....
Sam for his smooth flowing swing and ribald humor....
Old Tom just to experience the beginnings of golf....

The catch here is I'd get to play three rounds in three different eras on three different courses. In Old Tom's era we'd play the old course at St. Andrews with everyone playing old Tom's equipment and ball. For Sam we'd play the Green Briar with the more modern equipment and ball of the 50's. For Jack we'd play the latest equipment at Augusta National.

It's a fantasy, but wouldn't it be great to experience all the history and see how players of different eras play the different equipment and courses?

In fact, I really considered Old Tom myself, but decided I'd rather play with Bobby Jones in his prime. I also had to consider that, by all accounts, Young Tom Morris was a better player than his father.

1. Arnie - how can I keep him out. A legend.
2. Byron Nelson - a true gentleman, it would be an honor to play golf with him.
3. Tiger - a "work in progress" legend.
4. Me - a dose of reality

Course? - I'll let them choose, I couldn't care less with this foursome!

Well, if we are going the route of LPGA babes, I'd replace #3 with Karin Coch to add with Natalie and Kristi. Pictured is Karin, Cristie, and Natalie

As for the course...I would choose Pebble Beach.

She was one who I would consider. I develped this thing for her when she won her two amateur titles. Too bad her husband is like 6'6'' and an ex football player.

Funny, Ben Hogan only mentioned once so far. Is this because he was so focused on his own game that he wouldn't be fun to play with?

I wonder what names would pop up if we were asked what foursome we would want to follow around and watch? Probably a little different, and probably a lot more Hogan and Snead mentions.

Well...the question being who would you want in your dream foursome is very difficult...I said Tiger, Bobby Jones and Bob Hope and I wouldn't change that, but if I didn't have to count myself I would have said Sam Snead..no question.

I guess for now these two guy's will have to settle for the group behind us...lol
