Pet Peeves on the Links

Mine are all those unrepaired and improperly repaired divots on the greens. Dollars to donugnuts, many Golf Rewind regulars do not know the proper way to repair a divot. If you are not sure, go to the following Titleist website and point your cursor to the red cross on the divot repair tool for an illustrated demo of the proper divot repair technique:
http://www.titleist.com/golfclubs/putters/pivot.asp

And may I ask that all Golf Rewinders take the following pledge: "I will always repair at least one more divot than I make."

My main pet peeve is playing partners who don't help you look for a lost ball and then walk about 100 yards ahead. Today in a hs match i lost my ball in some high rough and while i was looking for it a player from another team preceeded to hit and walk to the green. The i found it and he was standing, not paying attention right in front of my line to the flag from 100 yards and had to yell at him multiple times to move.

Slow play, people playing tees above their level resulting in slow play, and old geezers who think they own the course and generally cause slow play.

Uneven tee boxes really bug me. There's a course around here that I don't think has a single par 3 teebox that is even, yet all of the par 4 and par 5 teeboxes are fine. Maybe it's more of a challenge?

Technically its a pitch mark repair tool as its a mark the ball has made on the green, not a tool for replacing the sods of earth that a club has removed & yes some people should learn how to repair Pitch marks

I hope you made them replay there shot for playing out of turn.
Having to walk back 100yds would embarrass them and they may learn to be more courteous.

BTW if it was a match, don't go to look for your ball where THEY think it is but where YOU think it is.

Rule*#*^* in gamesmanship states " Always look for your opponents ball 20 to 30yds away from where you think it is"

My lil bro likes to do that when we are Golfin. He doesn't have the patience to wait for me or one of the other people to find there balls, and don't want us to wait for him. Weird.

Anything more than a foursome. At my home course the 18-20 Guys who think they own it have sixsomes on Fridays because thier betting. They also look over each putt like it's for the win at the us open. Of course I'm sure there's plenty of cash on the line.
