Played Windermere GC in the Lake District yesterday, we were playing stableford and I wasn't scoring so not too sure how many I got round in but cerainly my best round yet. Two big milestones for me:
1) played all 18 holes without losing a ball
2) hit a birdie - 184 yard par 3 with a slight following wind, 3-hybrid off the tee to within 2 feet of the pin and an easy putt. Top of the world ma!
(This is the hole... not quite as long as I thought)

Congrats mate. It really is special your first one
congrats on your birdie. Hope this is just a start of more to come.
I can`t even remember my first birdie but I know the first would have been a large step in the right direction.
It took me 45 years to get my one and only Hole-in-one. After many eagles and a couple of double eagles which is a major hi-light in my life. I treasure them just as much as the Ace.
So good luck to you and enjoy playing golf.
My first bird was a 200 yard par 3 that I hit driver just short of (I was 12) and I chipped in! It's index 4 so I was absolutely ecstatic. Can't remember birdying that hole after that
I got my first birdie on a par 3 that was much much shorter ( about 60 yards from the front tees) and i had like a 35 foot putt that i just hit and went to get my bag and then i saw it go in and i screamed. I have also duffed it on a par 3 and then hit it in from 160 and then another notable is playing from the back tees and making 5 birdies in one round (all par 4s and 5s too!)
